Kellie Duckett, owner and buyer for Annie James Boutique, started selling out of the back of her car in 2009. The business quickly took off, and she purchased a booth at Wimberley Market Day's and started showcasing her products once a month. Annie James Boutique storefront was quick to open one year later. Annie James opened in January 2011. The name Annie James is a combination of Kellie's children’s names Cutter James and Bryce Ann (Annie).
